Seven and Nine lead a very two-horse race to start the year.

Seven benefitting from Home & Away (469,000) coming back early to run strong at 7pm. The CRICKET: Big Bash League – Adelaide Strikers v Melbourne Renegades (299,000) fills out the rest of the night in second place.
Seven first in both primary (22.2%) and network (31.7%) rankings.

The summer editions of A Current Affair (542,000) continue for Nine, followed by a very reliable repeat of Travel Guides (349,000). The later night is filled out with repeats of MOVIE: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (155,000) and Melbourne-made US drama La Brea (34,000).
Nine second in both primary (17.4%) and network (26%) rankings.

The Project (194,000 6:30pm; 275,000 7pm) continues for 10, followed by another new episode of The Bachelors Australia (273,000). A double repeat of NCIS (136,000; 101,000) runs into the later evening.
10 third in both primary (10.1%) and network (16.6%) rankings.

7:30 (383,000) and a repeat of Anh’s Brush with Fame (214,000) led the night for the ABC, followed by more repeats of Love on the Spectrum (154,000), Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery (110,000), and The Truth About Boosting Your Immune System (71,000).
