It was a busy week of travel as many visited family for the Thanksgiving holiday.Lucky Witherspoon spent the Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family in California before landing at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on a busy Sunday afternoon.“Flight was beautiful. My advice is to stay masked up on the plane and six feet away,” Witherspoon said.From the drop-off to the check-in, the busiest weekend of holiday travel took off at CVG and airports all across the nation. Scott Alexander wasn’t caught off guard by security lines.“We’re about two hours from our flight ‘cause we expected this,” Alexander said.The Florida snowbird said long security lines have been the norm throughout the system.“Pack everything you can with you. Pack your patience have a good smile and be very thankful for everything for the year,” Alexander said.After a pandemic-fueled year of turbulence and reduced capacity, airline industry analysts say passenger numbers are gaining altitude. Preston Clarke agrees as he returned home from Thanksgiving in Hawaii. “It was very crowded both flights going out and coming back, with security backed up with travelers getting back to normal.” With few delays on the departure and arrival board, passengers flowed through TSA and boarding lines.
