Kathleen Sullivan of Alameda, Calif., had heard horror stories of misbehaving travellers, and delayed and canceled flights amid a pandemic that rages on.

Even so, she reported she was pleasantly amazed at how quick her excursion household to San Francisco was, even though touring Friday on the busiest day of the getaway weekend. She had opted to fly from Paine Discipline, a scaled-down airport north of Seattle, relatively than the larger Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

“Clean, at ease, good staff members, inexpensive parking,” she explained. And because she experienced TSA PreCheck, which gives expedited screening to passengers who have been pre-vetted, going by way of security was rapid.

Her Alaska Airlines flight was total, she claimed, but she was relieved there was area for her have-on. The worst part of the journey: the push back home in San Francisco targeted traffic.

With far more than a thirty day period to go in the summer season vacation time, it is not very clear regardless of whether airways will need to consider additional actions to protect against a repeat of final summer’s flight disruptions. easyJet

We first went with easyJet and tried to book a flight taking off from Edinburgh to Paris.

Departing on June 13 at 2:15pm and arriving back home a week later on June 20 at 11:10pm, the total cost took us to £240.36.

Using incognito mode, we entered the same information into Google and it came up with the exact same information.

Ryanair

Entering the same dates with a new airline, we opted to travel to Barcelona this time.

The flight to the sunny destination was set to cost £90.99 whilst the return cost £103.99 – the cheapest option that day.

Switching to incognito mode yet again, we entered the information and once again there was no price difference.

Virgin flights.
Once again we didn’t find any cheaper flights.

Virgin

Third time’s a charm…

Travelling out on, yes you guessed it, June 21 and back on the 28th, we flew from the Capital to JFK Airport in the stunning Big Apple.

Opting for ‘Economy Classic’, we went ahead to book a flight which came to a total of £847.45.

Keeping our fingers crossed we would get a cheaper flight to see New York, we were yet again met with disappointment with the same price popping up during the same stay.

Jet2

Last but by no means least, Jet2.

Travelling with Jet2 to Naples in Italy, we tried to book flights for the same week as the rest however there the closest dates we could bag were from June 18 until June 25.

Nevertheless we set ourselves into spy mode went incognito with the total cost comping to £358.20. Broken down this would have cost an individual £269.10pp to fly out and an additional £89.10pp coming back home.

Using our normal browser it was set to cost us £269.10 there and £89.10 back meaning once again this didn’t work.

Overall I think it’s fair to say we were all a bit deflated we couldn’t bag ourselves a cheaper holiday by using this simple trick but better safe than sorry.
