Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya has reopened with an enhanced safety protocol — all vaccinated operations staff must now carry out regular Covid-19 self-testing.
The revamped measures, which aim to ensure safety for all guests and staff, require vaccinated hotel staff to get tested regularly at the resort with free FDA certified antigen test kits (ATK).
This new practice is also part of Centara’s complete healthcare and hygiene protocols that have been implemented across all Centara hotels and resorts.
Wayne Duberly, area general manager of Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya, stressed the importance of Centara’s stringent standards in an announcement yesterday.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have been developing and updating our hygiene and safety procedures to ensure the continuing safety of all our guests and staff, which remain our top priority. As restrictions are gradually lifted, we look forward to welcoming guests back to ‘The Lost World’ where they can reconnect with loved ones and enjoy a world of adventures,” he said.
The jungle-themed hotel was temporarily closed for about one month between Aug 9 and Sept 10 to help Chonburi Provincial Health Office reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the province. The hotel made use of this period of closure by doing renovation and maintenance work, according to an announcement on its official Facebook page.
Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya is certified with the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA). This certification is only issued to hotels that meet the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s strict pandemic-level safety standards.
Since Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya’s establishment in 2009, the 555-room hotel, which faces the ocean and private beaches, has been widely regarded as the number one family hotel in Thailand. It has also received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Travellers’ Choice Award Winner from TripAdvisor for 11 consecutive years.
Earlier this year, the resort unveiled its new ‘Lost World Adventure Land’, which features an expansive three-level playground complete with slides, trampolines and sand pit, as well as aerial adventure and obstacle courses.
The property has a jungle water park with pools, waterfalls, water slides, a lazy river, and direct access to the beach, while the Kids’ Club has separate zones for younger guests and older children.
