Bargain hunters looking for cheap holidays are going to want to check out Jet2’s latest offering, as the travel giant is currently offering holidays from 1p.
Yep, you read that right; you could bag a week-long holiday in the likes of Tenerife, Crete and Gran Canaria from just 1p.
Jet2holidays’ ‘Bid for a break’ is back, where you can essentially bid the lowest amount you want to pay for a holiday. However, there’s a catch; only the lowest unique bid will win the trip.
Last year, 23 holidaymakers won getaways to the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, with some of the bids starting from just 2p.

Different holidays are released on different days. Currently, you can bid for a break to Bulgaria from May 16, Crete from May 23, and Gran Canaria from May 30.
Oh, and did we mention there’s a mix of deals for both couples and families of four?
Putting in your bid is simple:
- Download the Jet2holidays app
- Go to the ‘Offers’ page
- Select ‘Bid for a break’
- Fill out the form with your contact details
- Add in your lowest unique bid, to the nearest pence
You can find out more about the holidays and get the full terms and conditions on jet2holidays.com/bid-for-a-break.
Don’t be disheartened if you don’t win.

For a start, there’s a silver lining for all participants as unsuccessful bidders will still receive a special discount code giving them £60 off their next holiday.
If the holidays aren’t quite right for you, you don’t need to break the bank to enjoy a sun-filled getaway.
While there aren’t many holidays you could bag for a few pennies, the good news is that there are still plenty of other brilliant holiday deals and cheap flights available out there, so you can enjoy some sunshine without breaking the bank.

It’s worth noting that there are still travel restrictions in place due to the pandemic. For example, if you’re hoping to visit the likes of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, adults need to be vaccinated while unvaccinated kids aged 12-17 will need a PCR test to be granted entry.
Entry requirements can change quickly during the pandemic, so always check the Foreign Office’s latest travel advice for a destination before you book a trip or go abroad, as this will include key information from entry requirements to local Covid rules you need to know.
