Currently, when returning back from holiday abroad, no one has to take a Covid test or isolate – no matter what their vaccination status.

But holidaymakers are encouraged to check the rules for the country they are visiting as some places such as Spain and Malta are still are not allowing unvaccinated Brits in.

Malta are not accepting a proof of recovery, but Spain is if you don’t have proof of being fully vaccinated.

Here are the cheapest flights we found for under £100 from Edinburgh Airport.

Ireland

Ireland is an easy getaway and popular for long weekends and with Ryanair, cheap flights from Edinburgh Airport aren’t too difficult to find.

For a value fare £22.78, you can stay in Dublin for a week. Fly out from Edinburgh Airport on Wednesday April 13 and fly back on April 20 – just in time to get ready for when the schools go back.

If those dates don’t suit you, from April 12 looks like all flights out from Edinburgh Airport are under £35 for the rest of the week.

Italy

Now here’s a real bargain. You can fly from Edinburgh Airport to Turin, Italy for under £20 return on Ryanair’s Easter deal.

At the time of writing, on Tuesday April 12 you can pick up a ticket to Turin for £9.99 and return on the following Tuesday for £7.99.

Of course, this is part of their Easter Escapes deal and we expect they will sell out fast so you’ll want to be quick.

This is priced at the value fare and doesn’t include luggage. Ryanair will offer a Regular fare that allows you to take a small hand luggage and one carry-on luggage with a 10kg weight limit to store above the seats for £21.00 or more on each flight.

But it is worth comparing how much adding the luggage on to the value fare later on in the booking process between the regular fare price as we’ve managed to save a few pounds this way.

Spain

We’re sick of the cold and rainy weather in Edinburgh and we’ve been day dreaming of some sun.

Luckily you can fly from Edinburgh Airport to Alicante for under £70. And keep in mind, we’re in the Easter holidays and this is last minute. We’re calling this a bargain.

At the time of writing, you can jet off from Edinburgh Airport to Alicante on Saturday April 16 for £31.99 and return on Friday April 22 for £36.99- totalling to £68.98 on a value fare.

When searching flights, click ‘flexible dates’ and a whole month of your choice will appear and will show all the prices of flights for that month, so you can find the cheapest rates for your holiday.
